Certificate Program
For those who have already completed a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in a geomatics-related field, a Certificate in Surveying is being developed at the University of Florida. Students will take five courses comprising a significant subset of the curriculum for the Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics. These are formal UF course offerings which will appear on a student’s UF transcript. After successful completion, a Certificate in Surveying will be issued by the Geomatics Program in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation.
Five courses anticipated:
- SUR 2101 Geomatics (Intro to Surveying and Mapping)
- SUR 3323 ( Starting Fall 07) (– previously SUR 2322) Visualization of Spatial Information (AutoCAD for Surveying and Mapping)
- SUR 4403 Cadastral Principles (Legal Aspects of Land Surveying)
- SUR 4201 Route Geometrics (Route Surveying and Design)
- SUR 4430 Surveying and Mapping Practice (professional-level topics)
