Research

As a leading program in the field of geomatics, an integral part of our work is the contribution of new developments in the science and application of geomatics. We are committed to the development of collaborative research programs with direct benefits to the citizens of Florida. These projects are intended to provide valuable resources for conservation and sustainability efforts, as well as the management of vital infrastructure. From agriculture to  transportation, we are improving the knowledge and methods necessary to support the well-being of our community.

Research Assistanceships are available for graduate students in the areas of Geographic Information Systems, Hyperspectral Image Processing, and Sensor Integration. Please contact Dr. Amr Abd-Elrahman for more information
